SMICO or Southwest Mill and Industrial Equipment Co., as SMICO was originally called, was founded to serve the milling and feed industries prevalent in the Southwest and Central plains of the US over 70 years ago. Today we’ve branched out to serve other industries but we’ve not forgotten our beginnings and our original customers. Our vibratory screeners were originally designed with the needs of millers and feed producers in mind. Today we still specialize in providing millers and feed producers with quality machinery that they can build a business on. In fact, our screeners work so well in this application, some of the first installations are still in service after 60 years!

Since our first day of operation, SMICO has opted to service every machine we build for its entire life, rather than discontinuing service and parts for old units. This is because we believe our customer’s best interests are our best interests. This is just one of the ways we accomplish our goal of being the best screening value in the marketplace.

VIBROSET™ VIBRATING SCREENER

The SMICO VIBROSET™ is a light duty, two bearing screener with a centroidally mounted drive which is based on the original SMICO designs used specifically in milling and feed applications.  The SMICO VIBROSET™ is ideally suited for operations requiring flow-through rates of 1 to 15 TPH.  SMICO VIBROSET™ screeners create much more energy than traditional round or gyratory-reciprocating motion screeners and can often process 2 or 3 times as much product on the same surface area!

SMICO VIBROSET™ screeners feature a positive eccentric action for smoother operation, meaning less vibration transmission which make is suited for placement the lofts of a milling or feed plant. These units utilize sealed-for-life bearings which greatly reduce the required maintenance time.

The SMICO VIBROSET™ has helped processors for over 60 years.  Many of the original units are still in use today.  SMICO has never stopped supporting our original designs with parts and on site support so when you purchase a SMICO VIBROSET™ screener you can rest easy that we will support your unit throughout its entire life!

Some standard and optional features include:

• Sizes from 1 ft to 3 ft wide & from 3 ft to 7ft long
• Can be manufactured with open, hoppered or enclosed bodies in Carbon or Stainless Steel
• Can be equipped with one, two or three screen decks

• Clearance can be added above, below or between the decks to flow bulky products
• Discharges can be lip type or spouts in various diameters
• Fines usually discharge from the bottom, but can be brought out of the end

DH2 SERIES VIBRATING SCREENER

SMICO DH2 SERIES is a two or four bearing declined screener. It was previously used for Liquid/Solids separations and now has been fully engineered to provide an extremely durable unit for the milling and feed industry and other high volume rugged applications. It’s ideal for applications requiring volumes of 20 TPH up to over 1000TPH.

The top or centroid brute force drive uses dependable grease lubricated bearings, sealed on both sides to prevent contamination. The drive can be set up to provide a uniform circle or elliptical action, long or short stroke with corresponding low or high speed to best handle your screening requirements.

The SMICO DH2 SERIES is manufactured in carbon or stainless steel. A full selection of custom fit options are available. Isolation springs are provided on a wide flange beam skid base. Legs, stands, and cable suspension are available. Drive components and enclosed guards are standard. Screens in a wide range of meshes, openings and materials are available.

SELECTRO

The SMICO SELECTRO™ is a four bearing screener with oil lubricated bearings. It features easy stroke changes to eight amplitudes without special tools. The angle can be adjusted 40º in either direction, even when the machine is operating.

Available in widths from 18" to 48" and lengths for 3' to 10', the SMICO SELECTRO™ was and is still today the original design for the milling and feed industry. Because of its incredible longevity and ability to handle sporadic loading and feeding and high processing capacity it was at one time the standard for screening in the milling, grain and feed processing market.

Because of its easy adjustment of both stroke and angle, the SMICO SELECTRO™ can give the best results in operations requiring high efficiency and flexibility.

Versatility is the strength of our SMICO CIRCULAR SCREENERS. Modular construction of our SMICO CIRCULAR SCREENERS provides a system that permits quick production changes and easier maintenance. BISON CRUSHER

The SMICO BISON CRUSHER is an exceptionally strong, heavy duty, horizontal, cone crusher. This crusher is suited for low volume crushing of agricultural and agricultural waste products. It is designed for reducing free flowing material to a desired uniform degree of finer product.

The SMICO BISON CRUSHER is also easily and quickly set up, and can be adjusted to grind your material fine or coarse while machine is running. Typical feed and output rates range in the 3-10 TPH hour depending on the material being crushed. Optional Ny-Resist Steel Cones and wear parts are available for highly abrasive materials.
