VIBROSET™ VIBRATING SCREENER

SMICO VIBROSET™ is a two bearing screener with a centroidally mounted drive. It features a positive eccentric action for smoother operation, meaning less vibration transmission. These units utilize sealed-for-life bearings.

SMICO VIBROSET's™ have helped processors for over 60 years. Many of them are still in use today. With the many standard alternatives and options available, this machine can be custom fit for the screening operation as well as the installation.

Some standard and optional features include:

  • Sizes from 1 ft to 3 ft wide & from 3 ft to 7ft long
  • Can be manufactured with open, hoppered or enclosed bodies in Carbon or Stainless Steel
  • Can be equipped with up to five screen decks
  • Clearance can be added above, below or between the decks to flow bulky products
  • Discharges can be lip type or spouts in various diameters
  • Fines usually discharge from the bottom, but can be brought out of the end
  • Feed can be through the cover or a feed end plate

SMICO manufactures the DH1 SERIES, a two-bearing machine, in open, semi-enclosed and totally enclosed models.

All SMICO DH1 SERIES models are rugged and simple. Available in carbon or stainless steel with 1, 2 or 3 screening decks and all optional features to be custom fitted to your specific requirements.

The SMICO DH1 SERIES features a positive eccentric drive, which makes it possible to operate the machine equally well either partially or fully loaded. The SMICO DH1 SERIES vibrator assembly is designed for maximum flexibility. The unique design of the SMICO DH1 SERIES drive assembly was constructed to minimize costly downtime and reduce maintenance cycles.

SMICO DH2 SERIES is a two or four bearing declined screener. It was previously used for Liquid/Solids separations and now has been fully engineered to provide an extremely durable unit for high volume bulk material applications.

The top or centroid brute force drive uses dependable grease lubricated bearings, sealed on both sides to prevent contamination. The drive can be set up to provide a uniform circle or elliptical action, long or short stroke with corresponding low or high speed to best handle your screening requirements.

The SMICO DH2 SERIES is manufactured in carbon or stainless steel. A full selection of custom fit options are available. Isolation springs are provided on a wide flange beam skid base. Legs, stands, and cable suspension are available. Drive components and enclosed guards are standard. Screens in a wide range of meshes, openings and materials are available.

HORIZONTAL VIBRATING SCREENER

Horizontal Vibrating Screener

The SMICO HORIZONTAL or Linear Drive Screener is a dual motor or twin shaft driven unit which creates motion at a 45º angle to push the product through the screen or out of the end.

The powerful linear drive allows the machine to screen uphill, horizontally or downhill. The unique forces from this drive make it ideal for liquid/solids separations even with sticky products. The SMICO HORIZONTAL SCREENER can overcome uneven feeding which makes it ideal for dump-in stations.

The top or bottom mounted drive makes this the ideal choice for bulky, dusty, hot and cold products as well as wet and sticky materials.

FLOW-THROUGH SIFTER

Flow-Through Sifter

The SMICO FLOW-THROUGH SIFTER is uniquely suited for use in final safety scalping of powdered products and ingredients. These units can be found on the final bagging lines of some of America’s most notable food processing companies.

The in-line, low profile design allows it to fit in tight places. However, this compact design does not mean a sacrifice in productivity or usability. It features one of the quickest clean-up times in our industry!

The SMICO FLOW-THROUGH SIFTER is available in 24, 30, & 40" diameters with 2.4, 4.0, & 7.2 sq. ft. of screen area respectively. The most suitable screen aperture size is 4 through 10 mesh. However, depending on the required through-put capacity and application, finer meshes can be used.

The SMICO FLOW-THROUGH SIFTER is easy to install and hangs from 4 cables. The body and screen are stainless, and the carbon steel frame work is coated with FDA approved enamel. Power is provided by .25HP, TEFC, 230/460/3/60 motors. Controls are available as an option if required.

SMICO SCREENETTE VIBRATING SCREENER

SMICO Screenette Vibrating Screener

If you want professional material screening or cleaning in a smaller size and price, look no further.

The SMICO SCREENETTE is a low cost, low capacity machine set up complete and ready to use. It is available in carbon, steel, or stainless steel in sizes of 1'x 2' or 18" x 4'. It carries one screen deck with convenient hook type screen mounting.

The vibrator motor, with several stroke adjustments, mounts under the screener. A screen, stand and on/off switch are included in the base price.

The SMICO SCREENETTE features an open top, oversize discharges from a lip type discharge and the fines exit through a thimble in the bottom hopper. The angle can be readily changed by moving the hanging spring from one mounting hole to another.

The SMICO SCREENETTE is an ideal selection for labs, pilot plants and low volume screening applications.

It can be used for:

CENTRIFUGAL SIFTERs

Centrifugal Sifters

SMICO CENTRIFUGAL SIFTERS are best suited for scalping or removing small amounts of oversize product. In addition, SMICO CENTRIFUGAL SIFTERS provide tremendous production capacities for the floor space and cost required.

Internal beater-bars move the material through the stationary screen cloth and along the machines axis. Some de-lumping will occur so SMICO recommends that friable materials be processed on one of our other product lines.

SMICO CENTRIFUGAL SIFTERS are usually supplied in stainless steel. Carbon steel construction is available as a lesser cost option when the application does not require food grade or stainless steel construction.

SMICO CENTRIFUGAL SIFTERS are used for: Powdered materials of all kinds.
