DH2 SERIES VIBRATORY SCREENER

SMICO DH2 SERIES is a two bearing declined screener. It has been successfully used for Liquid/Solids separations as well as being an extremely durable unit for aggregate, asphalt ingredients and other high volume rugged applications.

The top or centroid brute force drive uses dependable grease lubricated bearings, sealed on both sides to prevent contamination. The drive can be set up to provide a uniform circle or elliptical action, long or short stroke with corresponding low or high speed to best handle your screening requirements.

HORIZONTAL VIBRATING SCREENER

The SMICO HORIZONTAL or Linear Drive Screener is available with all of the features and options of the DH2/GYRETTE™ series of declined screeners. The dual motor or twin shaft driven unit can be mounted on the top or bottom. The screens motion is a 45º angle to push the product through the screen or out of the end.

The powerful linear drive allows the machine to screen uphill, horizontally or downhill. The uphill feature allows its installation in tight clearance areas. The unique forces from this drive make it ideal for liquid/solids separations even for sticky products. The SMICO HORIZONTAL Screener can overcome uneven feeding which makes it ideal for dump-in stations and dewatering applications. Occasionally the strong forces of this drive will reduce the accuracy of the separation of light material by driving the particles across the screen without their passing through. In these cases, special features like screen dams or wipers must be used to slow the momentum of the material. The top or bottom mounted drive makes this the ideal choice for bulky, dusty, hot and cold products as well as wet and sticky materials.

VIBROSET™ VIBRATING SCREENER

SMICO VIBROSET™ is a light duty, two bearing screener with a centroidally mounted drive. It features a positive eccentric action for smoother operation, meaning less vibration transmission. These units utilize sealed-for-life bearings.

SMICO VIBROSET's™ have helped processors for over 60 years. Many of them are still in use today.

Some standard and optional features include:

• Sizes from 1 ft to 3 ft wide & from 3 ft to 7ft long
• Can be manufactured with open, hoppered or enclosed bodies in Carbon or Stainless Steel
• Can be equipped with one, two or three screen decks
• Clearance can be added above, below or between the decks to flow bulky products
• Discharges can be lip type or spouts in various diameters
• Fines usually discharge from the bottom, but can be brought out of the end
• Feed can be through the cover or a feed end plate

STATIONARY BELT CONVEYORS

Some SMICO customers already know about our high-quality aggregate conveyors. For years we’ve been asked to design and build conveyors which either feed to or convey from our screeners. Now we’ve standardized our conveyor designs while at the same time remaining open to custom projects. SMICO engineers will size the conveyor and drive and recommend optional equipment based on your applications.

We specialize in stationary lattice and channel frame conveyors complete with engineered drives and a variety of options such as walkways, covers, support legs, to name just a few. SMICO CONVEYORS come in 24 to 60-inch belt widths and are built in up to 40 foot sections. Frames are cleaned, primed, and finished with a durable top coat in standard or custom colors.

Typical applications include mining, steel mills, aggregate plants, concrete recycling, virgin asphalt and RAP plants, sand dredging and processing and other heavy-duty bulk material handling operations

VIBRATORY FEEDERS / SCALPERS

SMICO VIBRATORY FEEDERS AND SCALPERS are available with overhead drives, multiple drive arrangements, grizzlies, water spray systems, custom discharges, punch plate and dust covers to meet your unique application requirements. Feeders and scalpers can be arranged for either base or suspension mounting. SMICO VIBRATORY SCREENERS AND SCALPERS require minimal maintenance and come powered by either twin vibratory motors or a mechanically driven shaft.

Twin motor feeders are designed to convey product by creating a linear straight-line motion. Two counter rotating rotary electric drives provide the linear push/pull action required. As the A.C. motors counter rotate, the side forces are canceled out and the linear forces are combined. With the motors properly attached and located on a ruggedized trough suitable for the forces being exerted and the vibrating mass properly isolated the conveyance action is quiet and positive. This drive method requires no belts, crank arms, rocker arms or leaf springs. The synchronized motors provide a semi-balanced design, which eliminates the uncontrollable bouncing during shutdown. The drive systems are available in a variety of RPM settings depending on the amplitude and design parameters.

Typical applications include mining, steel mills, aggregate plants, concrete recycling, virgin asphalt and RAP plants, sand dredging and processing and other heavy-duty bulk material handling operations.

SELECTRO™

The SMICO SELECTRO™ is a four bearing screener with oil lubricated bearings which is available in widths from 18" to 48" and lengths for 3' to 10'. It features easy stroke changes to eight amplitudes without special tools. The angle can be adjusted 40º in either direction, even when the machine is operating.

All of the standard options are available for the SMICO SELECTRO™, plus its own special features, making it the most versatile screener possible for specialized products or for installations using the same screener for varying conditions.

Because of its easy adjustment of both stroke and angle, the SMICO SELECTRO™ can give the best results in operations requiring high efficiency and flexibility. These industries include:

LOAD-OUT STATION/SCALPING SCREENER

Owning a SMICO LOAD-OUT SCALPING SCREENER will provide excellent direct flow product classification and high production with low operation costs.   The Dual Deck Vibrating screener is available in sizes from 36” to 72” wide by 6’ to 16’ long and uses 60mm to 110mm spherical, shaker-duty bearings.

FRACTIONATOR

The SMICO FRACTIONATOR is trusted by some of the most pretegious aggregate labs to meet the standards of even the most exacting local, state and federal governments and regulatory bodies. The Fractionator provides “real world” lab results when running tests on samples unlike the normal test sieve products that give exacting measurements.
